Leading the Way Learning Community -   Leading the Way Learning Community is designed for individuals who aspire to lead with confidence, competence and courage in businesses and organizations. As a member of the Leading the Way Learning Community you are in a safe, respectful learning environment with thirty individuals. Together you have the opportunity to reflect on individual leadership, learn important leadership skills, and network with peers who understand the joy and challenge of being an effective leader. Topics covered in Leading the Way are:

Dialogue on the Deck and Fireside Chats – Dialogue on the Deck and Fireside Chats feature an interview with an inspiring established leader in front of an audience. Each event begins with a formal interview conducted by an emerging leader in the interviewees’ field. Upon completion of the interview the audience is invited to ask questions, share their own perspectives and to open dialogue between and among themselves about the topic of leadership. The conversations happen seasonally are hosted in venues that lend to an opportunity to have up close and personal conversations with experienced successful professional leaders.

Business Book Clubs – Many leaders read business books alone and gather information that is useful in the workplace. However, what if you had the opportunity not only to read the book, but to discuss it with other leaders to identify ways to translate the theory into specific action in your life as a professional leader? The Leadership Connection hosts business book clubs throughout the year to help leaders translate what they read into action in the workplace. The Leadership Connection team selects business books for each club. The book club happens over a period of time that allows its members to read and discuss the books. In addition, the Book Club facilitator will incorporate time for leaders to think about specific actions they can take in the workplace to practice what was learned by reading the book.
